Abstract


Based on the theory that aggressive retaliation can be influenced by responsibility assignment proposed by Weiner, this paper tries to research factors that influence aggressive retaliation of juvenile and the relations of these factors, thus establishing structural equation models that reflect the relationship among aggressive retaliation and hostility cognition, perceived unfairness, responsibility assignment, emotional reflection, attribution structure.In this research, undergraduates were surveyed by questionnaires of scenario. The first part is pre-research with subjects randomly selected. In this stage, subjects were tested by the questionnaire and data was collected for the analysis of reliability and validity, based on which items of the questionnaire were modified and deleted. The second part is formal research, subjects were tested by the modified questionnaire in this stage, and data were collected and analyzed. Hypotheses of the model were verified via AMOS and modified according to indices of fit. Conclusions are as follows:1. Two important factors that influence individuals` judgment of responsibility of the other person are controllable attribution and external/internal attribution. The two factors are positively related. Compared with controllable attribution, is a stronger predictor. 2. Anger is influenced by responsibility assigned to others, perceived unfairness and external/internal attribution. Anger of confliction can be strengthened by perceived unfairness, external attribution and responsibility assigned to others。3. Hostility cognition does not predict revenge motivation directly, but through mediators of self-esteem and perceived fairness.4. Hostility cognition predicts perceived unfairness and self-esteem devaluation directly. The power of prediction of self-esteem devaluation is stronger than that of perceived unfairness. Self-esteem can be considered as mediator of hostility cognition and perceived unfairness.5. Revenge motivation is influenced by perceived unfairness, self-esteem devaluation and anger, among which perceived unfairness is the strongest power of predictor and self-esteem devaluation the weakest one.
