Pipe is made of pipes, pipe connection parts and valves etc connector, used for conveying gas, liquid or solid particles flow device, in industries such as petrochemical and natural gas has an irreplaceable role. Corrosion of buried pipelines is one of the main factors lead to pipeline failure, it can not only cause problems such as pipeline leaks, cracks, holes and the pipe can’t normal work, the more will be buried the hidden trouble of the big economic loss and energy waste. Strengthen pipeline detection and pipeline defect found in time and as accurately as possible to determine the pipeline damage location, and timely maintenance, can minimize the damage to buried pipeline corrosion, thus to reduce the loss of state property of and eliminate the safety hidden trouble.This paper at home and abroad on the buried pipeline corrosion protection system that is commonly used in a variety of detection methods for characteristics analysis and principle. For tube/ground potential measurement method and PCM (multi-frequency tube current method) has carried on the key of research, and measurement formula of PCM method is deduced, based on the actual measurement of topography, soil, pipe distribution, and so on and so forth, based on the advantages and disadvantages of two methods, and scope of application, selects the more suitable method in the test. Secondly, in view of the field detection signal contains a lot of noise in the authenticity problem that affect the measurement result, with the improved method of least square, sine sequence parameters of known frequency real-time extraction; Using wavelet analysis to the original signal processing at the same time, you can get a pipeline to corrosion of real information. Again, according to the above content pipeline corrosion situation of design based on single chip microcomputer data acquisition and processing system, and applies the BP algorithm of artificial neural network to evaluate the level of pipeline corrosion. Finally, obtained the optimized data in the field detection, accurately judge the corrosion of buried pipelines, to ensure the normal operation of the pipeline, to prevent energy leakage, have important economic and social benefits.
