Idioms are expressions of a language, but also a social phenomenon and cultural phenomenon. At the same time, it is also a reflection of body experience, is the product of the interaction of humans with the objective world, that is the product of cognitive. The the fuzziness reason is that we study English and Chinese Idioms Idioms are a carrier, it carries with it a rich cultural and pragmatic information. It is a characterization of a language, but also a reflection of the mental representation. Discourse, it transmits more information and these information in linguistic communication, it does play a certain role in the transmission of information. This paper first reviews the scholars idioms and embodied in a static to a dynamic research trends, and then to establish the research perspective, the significance of research and research methods (Chapter 2). The idioms have long been the research focus of domestic and foreign scholars for its definition, classification and characteristics are also different opinions.
