Abstract


The University Motto is interesting and important phenomenon of language , but not taken seriously enough in the academic community . The motto from the pedagogical point of departure to study the significance and function , few scholars with the main linguistic theory to study it . This paper attempts to fill this gap . For the Chinese large school training , whether academic or social , are banished more than praise fewer . Most Motto single language Sentence repeat too much lead to stereotyped that does not have its own characteristics , and ultimately become a mere formality , and failed to play its due role . However, these studies on the status quo complain more rarely able to provide a truly effective solution . No suitable theoretical support sporadic ideas is difficult to effectively solve practical problems.
