Abstract

This essay is from the perspective of the mechanical properties of the research on anti-freeze-thaw cycle performance of cement mortar. Cross experiment was carried out by controling varieties of cement, cement grade, water-cement ratio, mortar ratio, mixed materials, and age. freeze-thaw cycle the preparation of cement mortar block and strength test. I found that water-cement ratio and admixture have a very significant impact for the cement mortar freeze-thaw cycle performance. The greater of water-cement ratio, the worse of the ability of anti-freeze-thaw cycles cement mortar. In contrast to the preparation of a variety of portland cement admixture of the freeze-thaw experiments, admixtures of20%fly ash, a specific surface area400m2/kg portland cement has the best performance of freeze-thaw resistance. Then by scanning electron microscopy, x-ray and other testing methods for analysis of the microstructure of cement mortar samples, found that in the cement hydration products, more needle-like crystals of ettringite and flaky crystals hydrated aluminum silicate, calcium silicate hydrate (I type) content of more cement mortar flexural, better compressive strength and resistance to freeze-thaw cycles performance. Data analysis combined curing period of anti freeze-thaw cycles affect the performance of cement mortar, The longer the curing period, the more cement hydration products, the more mortar test block compaction rate, the higher the intensity, the better freeze-thaw cycle performance.
