For all electronic equipments, power is the basis and a matched power is very important.As an important marine electronic equipment, the power of sonar must be reliable. The letterregards doppler speed log transmitter power control as the application background, designs anadjustable DC-DC switching power supply and a control module in the application of thedoppler speed log.In order to ensure doppler speed log can work normally within the scope of maximumworking depth, it is not enough just relying on gain adjustment of the receiver. Thereforetransmit power of transmitter module in speed log must be adjustable. Although transmitpower of previous doppler speed log can be changed through software, the dynamic range islimited, so blind spot in the shallow is large. The letter makes the original output DC-DCmodule fixed voltage operation mode change to the adjustable voltage mode on the basis ofhardware of previous doppler speed log. However, the existing DC-DC module can not meetthe requirements of doppler speed log. According to requirements for power of dopplertransmitter in shallow water, this letter designs a single-end forward switching power supply.The power supply adopts integrated power chip and the switching frequency is300kHz.With24V DC power supply, control output of9V~18V DC voltage can be realized. Thedesign of the power supply mainly includes input filter, power conversion, feedbackoptocoupler, rectifier filter and so on. To ensure the power does not damage the sonarequipment under extreme conditions. the power supply also realizes over-voltage,under-voltage and over-current protection. The letter carries out a detailed calculation anddiscussion on the transformer design and winding method based on theory of transformerdesign.On basis of the control way of the switching power supply and the actual situation ofdigital control panel of doppler speed log, this letter also designs a transmitter power controlmodule for doppler speed log. The core control chip of the control module isTMS320VC5509A. Control instructions are transferred through serial communication withPC. The transmitter power supply voltage is controlled through several pre-set commands.The module mainly includes a DSP minimum system circuit, a digital-to-analog conversioncircuit and serial communication circuit and control procedures.Finally, the letter completes the circuit board debugging and online debugging. Theresults show that the power output is stable, the indicators are within the expected range, thesupply voltage can be effectively changed through the debugging interface, the voltage adjustable function is realized. The letter provides a way to solve the transmitter powercontrol of doppler speed log.
