Abstract

Faced with the ever-expanding blueberry industry in recent years there was scarcely any research on blueberry farm soil fertility and environmental quality. The research selected blueberry plots with3,5and8year planting history under organic, external low input and conventional farming system as research subjects, compared the effects of three farming systems on blueberry farm soil fertility, heavy metal contents and fruit quality.Soil fertility studies showed that compared to conventional farming system, organic and external low input farming systems were more conducive to improve soil fertility. For planting plots with same planting history soil nutrients content and enzyme activity increased by the order organic> low external input> conventional. When with8year planting history plots were compared, soil available nitrogen and potassium contents of organic and conventional farming system showed extremely significant differences (p<0.01), organic matter and total nitrogen content also showed significant differences (p<0.05). Compared with the soil nutrient, soil enzyme activity were more likely to be reflected significant differences of soil among the three farming systems within shorter planting years but catalase exception.Studies of soil heavy metal contents showed that soil heavy metal content of different farming systems of the experiment were lower than Grade Ⅱ Criterion of soil environmental quality standards. Three farming system soil As contents were between10.4to12.3mg/kg, soil Pb contents were between19.5to26.4mg/kg, soil Cr contents were between34.7to42.9mg/kg and Cu contents were between19.9to29.9mg/kg, Cd and Hg were not detected. The comprehensive pollution index of each plots were between0.2-0.4, indicated that soil of all blueberry farms were in safe and clean level, and were suitable for blueberry growth.Studies of blueberry fruit quality showed that fruit weight of organic and external low-input were heavier than conventional fruit. Diameter of blueberry fruit generally presented external low input> organic> conventional.Total sugar content of three farming system blueberries presented organic> external low input> conventional, and there were extremely significant differences (p<0.01).Total acid content didn’t show any significant difference among three farming system blueberries. Compared with external low input and conventional blueberries, organic blueberries had higher sugar-acid ratio, tasted better Organic and external low input blueberry fruit Vc and anthocyanin content were higher than conventional blueberries. In summary, compared with external low input and conventional farming systems, organic farming system were more conducive to improve soil fertility and blueberry fruit quality, which had provided a guarantee for the sustainable production of blueberries quality health, but in view of the cost, it was recommended to moderate develop organic farming system. Soil fertility and fruit quality of external low input farming system of were also superior to conventional farming system, in view of its operability, it was worth developing in local place as an alternative to conventional farming system.
