The objective of the thesis is developing a handy constitution questionnaire for home test, analyzing the constitution distribution of the children with recurrent respiratory tract infections from the perspective of TCM, and exploring the related causes and factors of those constitutions. The method for these objectives is carried out according to the following steps:first, select the specific survey questionnaires including114children with recurrent respiratory tract infections in clinic and154children with general respiratory tract infections treated in the same period; Second, collect the basic information from these questionnaires and quantify the result of the health questionnaire with due numbers;third, analysis the ratio between the children with recurrent respiratory tract infections and general infections and the differences of the former and the latter, and the influence of related factors. The surveys show that among the114children with recurrent respiratory tract infections3-5years old children take the first place, and the children of more than6years old take the second. The result also shows that the number of children surveyed with single constitution is96, including57of equilibrium constitution,14of yin asthenia constitution,19of qi-insufficiency constitution6of phlegm-dampness constitution, no one of pure Yang insufficiency constitution or damp-heat constitution, more than10of complex constitutions,8of no specific constitution out of the imperfect constitution classification on the perspective of CTM. The children mentioned above with recurrent respiratory tract infections is classified as the experimental group while the other children with general respiratory tract infections as the control group。 There are122children of single constitution,26of complex constitution,6of no specific constitution. The number of children with balanced constitution is higher in control group. Through the contrast, it is known that there are some defects in the Pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine constitution classification method and the standard foe evaluation as their application can’t cover all children. The questionnaire featured by signs and symptoms is more applicable for self-test. The children of the two groups are more with a single constitution and less complex constitution. The single constitution is mainly balanced constitution, consistent with physiological and pathological characteristics of children. The children with unbalanced constitution is more likely to affect recurrent respiratory tract infection occurred more. The children with balanced constitution have a big relation with childbearing age of mother, mode of bearing and good eating habits, and no obvious relation with childbearing age of father and infant feeding pattern.
