Abstract


March 8, 2010 is the 100th anniversary of the \Compared to a hundred years ago, the world situation of women, the women of the world, regardless of the level of education, work, and its treatment, or participation in the country's political and social life status have achieved greatly improved. However, compared with other countries, the status of women in the Middle Eastern countries, especially the political status is still very low, Therefore, the political status of women in the Middle East, and analysis of the Middle East, the low status of women's political reasons, has its roots in the Koran and Sharia, and in the political life of the Middle East countries showed contradictory relationship of four groups: the public sphere and the private sphere, feminism, patriarchy, conservatives Department of reform-minded nationalism and Western democracies between dualistic and unified. It is because few of the contradictory relationship between the presence of the political status of women in Middle Eastern countries generally at a lower position, even if the Constitution and relevant laws and regulations of these countries the status and role of women in the country in political life, and given the women political rights, but in practice the process, women in Middle Eastern countries is still very difficult to enter into the field of the core rule of their political life, but only at the very edge of the status. In the case study section, the paper selects a comparative study of the three important Middle East countries (Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia) in the early 20th century to the early 21st century national women's political, the political status of women in the Middle East this hundred the changes years time. Select the three countries, the main reason is they have significant political influence in the Middle East and the representative of the country, and these three countries were different political system: as a secular state, Egypt is a presidential system of national polity; Iran after the Islamic revolution in 1979 so far is a theocratic state, in the political life of Iran is actually the supreme leader is a religious and spiritual leader; Saudi Arabia since Aziz Al Saud, and their male relatives since 1932 as the country's highest leader of the absolute monarchy. Therefore, these three countries, the study helps to make a more comprehensive and universal judgment on the political status of women in the Middle East. This paper several recommendations to improve the political status of women in the Middle East: through progressive domestic reforms, strengthen the guidance of the International Organization of the United Nations, including the countries of the Middle East, as well as to play the role of women's non-governmental organizations to cooperate with non-governmental organizations in the countries of the Middle East, which achieve real improvement in the political status of women in the Middle East.
