Abstract

This article attempts to study the synchronic and diachronic development of Ge construction.On the basis of previous research, this thesis first illustrates the literature of the research, such as the object, the significance and the organization of the research. The thesis studies the use and development of Ge construction mainly from the synchronic and diachronic perspective.Part one aims to offer a diachronic study on Ge construction. When Ge is used as the predicate alone, it can be divided into two categories, that is,"Ge+NP" and "Ge+other", which can be further divided into small classes depending on the syntactic components. And then, the thesis investigates the use of Ge construction from the perspective of syntax, semantics and pragmatics Besides, this thesis examines the use of Ge and dynamic auxiliary "zhe, le, or guo". It is concluded that Ge construction can be used with zhe or le except guo. The subsequent component of "ge (zhe)+NP" prefers to choose NP which represents space distance. Whereas, the subsequent component of "ge (le)+NP" prefers NP which represents time distance.Part two is investigated from the perspective of diachronic evolution of Ge construction. First of all, according to syntactic semantic features, duration can be divided into the pre-qin, han and six dynasties, tang and song dynasty and sui again after five times, respectively, on the basis of an analysis was carried out on the corpus in installment and matching system form, finally we concluded that the six dynasties ago, Ge construction mainly as the predicate center, object, the semantic type is mainly space object in the subject table concrete actions. After the six dynasties, Ge construction and other words constitute the gearing type serves as the predicate ratio gradually increased, the object of the semantic type began to grow into space object and time object two categories, senders of Ge construction in the subject can not be moved, Ge construction only means the relationship between the static distance.Part three Through the diachronic track of Ge construction to explore the dynamics ochange of Ge construction, and studying adventurers "Ge" tendencies. Firstly, we begin from whether it can act as predicate center alone, and the point of view of an object, it is concluded that the first motivation affect the evolution of "Ge construction" is:melody configuration. Then analysis from the perspective of cognitive linguistics "Ge construction" change extended meanings of trajectory, it is concluded that:"Ge construction" words trajectory accords with the "metaphor" mechanism in the cognitive linguistics. In addition, we also from the syntactic position and the evolution of word meaning changes two angles to investigate verb " Ge construction " falsified tendency of righteousness. Concluded:Ge construction there has been a preposition tendency, is located in the most low-end falsified chain.Part four is the conclusion part. Through different perspectives on the above discussion, and combined with the specific corpus analysis, summed up the Ge construction synchronic features and diachronic development change rule and development dynamics of change.
