Abstract


Translation memory, a core technology of Computer Aided Translation, contributes totranslation efficiency and quality. Based on a technical documents translation project, thispaper elaborates the functions of translation memory covering background information,language style, terminology and efficiency. Furthermore, the successful experience ofconstructing translation memory is discussed based on a translation memory project, fromthe perspective of objective, team, process, technology, communication and maintenance.
