Abstract


Francesco Paolo Tosti, who lived in the later stage of European romantic artist styleage, was an Italian master of artsongs. He inherited and developed the romantic artiststyle. He was not only a vocal music educator, but also a productive vocal musiccomposer. According to Incomplete statistics, he produced more than100songs duringhis life and many of them were spread to today. As an Italian master of art songs in thelate19th century, representing the European romantic artist style, he not only inheritedthe Italian and Neapolitan artist style, but also developed them. As a result, a newdistinctive artist style named after Tosti was set up, which also helped him to occupiedhis standing position in the romantic artist style. I will study his songs by paying moreattention on his singing skill to understanding his artist style completely.
