Wang Zaoshi is a famous patriotic and democratic personage in the modern history of China and also serves as a social activist and theorist. This paper mainly focuses on the whole thought to anti-war and save the nation held by Wang Zaoshi and starts from three aspects, namely background of creation, elaboration of theory and practical activities to analyze the thought to anti-war and save the nation held by Wang Zaoshi and offers objective evaluations in this regard; the following five parts are included for further details:Part I mainly discusses the origin of the thought to anti-war and save the nation produced by Wang Zaoshi. Two aspects are comprised as far as the general social background:one is the background of times, themed by Saving the Country from Subjugation; and the other is the personal cultural and political background of Wang Zaoshi; both of these two aspects require that Wang Zaoshi must seek for a path to realize the national libration of China. Part II mainly analyzes the issues regarding the attitude of Wang Zaoshi towards Japan. He put forward the theory of "Rational Patriotism and Determined Resistance", which reasonably enriched the attitude towards Japan from a vast perspective and also analyzed the differences between China and Japan in aspects of politics and cultures. He proposed to conduct an across-the-board analysis of the problems present between China and Japan by means of differentiating the sentiment of rational patriotism from that of blind patriotism and carry out a comprehensive resistance to Japan in a systematic manner.Part III mainly elaborates attitude of Wang Zaoshi towards the mediation conducted by the "League of Nations" during the practices specific to the thought to anti-war and save the nation. Wang Zaoshi is not only a theorist but a famous social activist. He placed an emphasis on broader international issues during practices and based on which a road to get rid of dangerous situations of China was sought for. He pursued the method of "Carrying out resistance and waiting for assistance" as the fundamental way to settle the problems present in current situation, adopted "Equal cooperation" as the approach to acquire foreign assistance, adhered to the principle of "Sovereignty utmost" as the basis for obtaining international respects and followed the "Enhancement of national strength" as the most important chip to acquire support from western countries.Part IV mainly introduces and reviews all kinds of schemes put forward by Wang Zaoshi for saving the nation from extinction. Although many of views he proposed for this reason are constructive and creative and certain achievements have been obtained, no explicit answers was offered to the questions such as the methods and effect of implementation of these schemes. The parts failing to be answered in an explicit manner have exerted an influence on the further implementation of his schemes for saving nation; and this also makes him fail to get the thorough settlement of problems present in China finally.Part V mainly deals with the comparison and conclusion of the thought to anti-war and save the nation by Wang Zaoshi. Compared with other, thought to anti-war and save the nation the one held by Wang Zaoshi is of determined resistance and urgent reality and has had a far-reaching impact on encouraging the determination of the whole nation to engage in the Anti-Japanese War.
