Abstract


After the War of Resistance Against Japan entered a stalemate, SichuanProvince, as the rear base, its strategic position is extremely important. Chengdu is thecapital of Sichuan province, the studies of the Chengdu government how to performspecial care of military families policy published by the National Government and itsimpacts are significant, which has a great value to understand the NationalGovernment’s special care of military families in rear areas.This paper is divided into four chapters, to study the work in government ofChengdu gave preferential treatments to the families of military, the first chapterdescribes the historical traditions of our country to military families and the Nationalgovernment special care of military families policies during the war. The secondchapter describes the Chengdu military families and the problems, from the number ofmilitary families, ages, professions and something others. The third chapter to studyChengdu special care of military families policy during the war. Which includesChengdu special care organizations, and the work in relief, production, interest, honor.The fourth chapter analyzes the characteristics of special care of military familiespolicy in Chengdu. Point out the pros and cons in their work, and the evaluations andresults in the work. After all the studies, the author believes that the government ofChengdu was responsible for the National Government’s policy, although there aremany defects and problems in their work, however, the achievements and theexperience is worthy of recognition and learning. From the content and object, the paper emphasized the local and practical, tomake up the previous studies who focuses on policy only.
