Abstract


With the development of China’s financial industry, a number of "quasi-financial holding companies" is growing in recent years. Meanwhile, many international financial holding companies have entered the domestic market. It has become more urgent to accelerate the integration of China’s financial industry and improve the local financial industry competitive in the market. Therefore, it is necessary to study the development of China’s financial holding company and corresponding policies on the regulation.In this thesis, basic analyzing is adopted at first. Then the comparative analysis is made on the mature foreign financial holding companies, and the experiences are summarized. Moreover, this thesis analyzed the status of China’s "quasi-financial holding company" and the related problems. Based on the above studies, a conclusion has been made that the appropriate development model is the "Commercial bank as the parent company" model. In addition, proposals was put forward on business integration, internal control, and strengthening the supervision, etc.
