With a significant trend of aging population, the number of the elderly population increases, social problems of raising the elderly cause more attention and focus. The future development trend of Hefei’s apartments for the elderly should be promoted in diversification, socialization and specification, social work intervention trends of Hefei’s apartments for the elderly should be specialization, standardization, and meticulous.This survey is based on collected samples about investigations for Hefei Civil Affairs Bureau, Office on Aging and related elderly apartment working staff, and personally visiting apartments for the elderly, interviewing community workers, service personnel and the elders in those apartments, investigating services and facilities of the apartments for the elders. This article objectively reflects the basic situation of the elder in the apartment and their physical and spiritual needs. Through investigation, social workers can find the gathered questions, then they can combined them with their professional knowledge to analyze, judge and carry out the helping services, to ease the plight they are currently facing.
