Depending on Multimedia common processing, and a whole new era of dissemination of information.Multimedia technology is a derivative of the computer technology, computer technology develops at an amazing speed to human permeates gradually production, life, work, and study and all other aspects; But it plays an important role in its incomparable advantage in every field.The multimedia technology is quoted into education fields, and development, it intervene to have had a profound impact on education, causing the teachers renew ideas, the means of education and education form of update.In a certain sense, multimedia technology to the influence of education technology opened the new chapter of teaching reform. Multimedia education using powerful technology can promote the progress of reform in teaching comply with the need of time.English teaching content is very rich, link also complicated. Which occupy an important position and also a difficult link is one of vocabulary teaching. English vocabulary is large and application change up more, so vocabulary learning is has been learning English learners as part of the most boring and difficult. However vocabulary learning English learning is the foundation of every link. You can’t achieve good learning effect.This paper is mainly about application of the multimedia technology in English vocabulary teaching. Through reading, I gathered a lot of material on the basis of teaching practice with many years of experience, the concept of multimedia, the characteristics of the multimedia technology, application situation and the development trend of makes the theoretical analysis; Of English vocabulary teaching situation and the problems which face profound analysis;To the multimedia technology assistance English vocabulary teaching the design and realization of the is expounded, and sums up the multimedia courseware application in teaching practice effect, multimedia games in English vocabulary of interactive teaching feedback. Finally make a relatively perfect, practical vocabulary teaching courseware "Easy Vocabulary" and game "Vocabulary Maze".
