With the computer becoming more popular and the network users increasing, all sortsof new busines needs more and more wider bandwidth, and the triple play, smart city,cloud computing carry out which leads to the pressure of bandwidth on the Internetbackbone transmission. All kinds of data center are faced with more and more largeramount of data processing requirements, and bring the wider bandwidth requirements.Current with the100G Ethernet standards have established, all communication equipmentproviders compete to realize the100G Ethernet experimental system, and began tocommercial application.The100G Ethernet as the latest technology of the Ethernet, it notonly bandwidth10times wider than10G Ethernet, and in the application fields alsoexpanded. The100G Ethernet to use more from the original traditional LAN extended toman and backbone transmission network.The100G Ethernet used as gathering network and backbone transmission network inMAN and WAN, because of the complexity of MAN and WAN,the Ethernet which set upfor LAN technology has many limitations, applying the Ethernet in telecommunication isthe requirements of Carrier Ethernet. Carrier Ethernet are hot topics at present, OAM isthe key technology to realize Carrier Ethernet, so the study of100G Ethernet OAM hasgreat important significance.The paper introduces the basic knowledge of the Ethernet and the latest IEEE802.3baagreement, analyse the key technology to realize the100G Ethernet system, and selecte the100G Ethernet OAM technology as the research object. Firstly analyzes the main contentof the OAM technology, Secondly clarify the100G Ethernet OAM technical requirements,and then, design, the OAM system, and on that basis design the OAM software, Throughthe100G Ethernet transmission platform confirmation, and the results show that thedesign is feasible and effective.
