Abstract

In recent years, with the rapid growth of demand for communication services, the existing IP network, unicast traffic, cannot meet the requirements of the communications business. Unicast address shows defects and deficiencies as peer-to-peer communication network dominates large amount of traffic and when the server uses multiple copies for same unicast address, heavy load has become increasingly prominent.IP multicast in IP networks with multi-point communication model intrigues the development of a multi-point communications business which is applied in live video, audio and video conferencing and data distribution on the Internet. Such a technology will solve these industrial problems by the optimal solution. IP multicast technology to achieve multi-point video transmission, can greatly reduce the network bandwidth resources as well as improve the efficiency of data transfer, especially on relatively limited resources of network capacity and device performance of small-scale networks such as enterprise network and campus. We discuss campus network multicast deployment in Inner Mongolia Electronic Information Vocational and Technical College in detail, focusing on the testing methods and tools for multicast protocol in campus network deployment, and through audio-visual broadcast, campus radio, campus television, video and audio practical application of real-time question answering system to verify the availability of multicast deployment. Finally, the paper systematically describes the specific process of multicast technology. On the basis of comprehensive consideration of various business needs, as well as the actual ability, the deployment of multicast technology design and planning is feasible, forward-looking, and scalable to ensure the concrete implementation of the technology. Among them, the concrete realization of the technology, including the planning of the parameters, controllable multicast design, strategic planning of equipment, script and other details for other similar networks to deploy these new technologies show an important guiding significance.
