Abstract

In the late20th century, the rapid development of life science instruments made the gene, cloning and biological chip become a hot topic. Many scientists asserted that the21st century would be a new era of "life science". The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique is considered to be one of the most important achievements of life science research field. The instrument which can automatically complete polymerase chain reaction is PCR thermal cycler, and it has been widely used in life science, biochemistry, genetic engineering, medical diagnosis, epidemic detection, food science and other fields. In this paper, the interactive application of the embedded systems and Qt GUI are studied deeply by PCR gene amplification. Through the comparison and analysis for several mainstream embedded operating systems and embedded GUI features, this artical finally adopted the S3C6410ARM11processor chip as the central processing unit, with its powerful computing capability and rich expansion capabilities as the basis, used linux3.0operating system and the Qt/Embeded graphical development tool, and completed the build of the host development environment, the configuration of NFS and other servers, the analysis and transplantation of bootloader, the cutting and configuration of linux kernel, and the production of root file system. The interactive interface development is completed based on Qt/Embeded platform. In this part of the design, the author expounded the build of the integrated development environment for Qt and the migration process of target platform in detail. In order to reduce development effort and cycle, the implementation method and development process for the PCR gene amplification system GUI is determined, combined with the modular design and object-oriented programming methods. Then this paper introduces the implementation process of the gene amplification system GUI, including the build of Ubuntu development platform under virtual machine, the installation configuration of arm-linux-gcc cross compiler, the compilation and installation work of Qt graphics library supporting the target machine and the modification and transplantation of touch screen driver program, as well as the design and implementation of the main function interfaces for the GUI system. The innovation of this paper is that a set of user-friendly man-machine interactive system for gene amplification is ultimately developed with the solution of "ARM+Linux+Qt", the integrating for the latest hardware and software resources, the help of signals and slots mechanism and the using of double buffering display technology, as well as good practical and application value. Compared with conventional PCR instrument based on MCU, the GUI system is very prominent in human-computer interaction, eliminating the original manual button regulating function, can be displayed on LCD which is mounted to the PCR instrument, can run on Linux system reliably and steadily, supports touch screen driver, and basically meets the functional requirements of the main modules with easy operation, excellent scalability and gorgeous appearance.
