With modem technology continues to evolve, how to take full advantage of Modemtechnology to provide mankind with information technology services, has become a newtopic. It has become the main trend that human beings depend on network information tomanage human society, such as online payment means becoming an important means forChina’s financial industry’s capital flows and currency payments, so the accompanyingremote born login control system has also become a inevitable real problem for people topay attention to. From this point, system that in a certain network environment building upby a pair of Modem and PSTN, mainly concernd about remote login control and the caseof a network failure to maintain the equipment is registered through remote login.Remote login control system’s study take the development of Huawei-3Com’sModem project as the background. Using the V-model development process, first thesystem needs analysis, using UML object-oriented modeling technology to gradually drawthe system’s timing diagram, and do the overall design of the system. Then the system isdivided into four main functional modules, dial control module, data processing module,data storage module, system working state module. By using TCP/IP protocol, ATcommand set, Modem Dial principle technology realise the main function of each module.So that network administrators can use the AUX port of the remote device, log in to thedevice through a pair of Modem dial-up PSTN (public switched Telephone Network, thepublic switched telephone network), thus completing the equipment for remotemanagement and maintenance.System using Modem technology greatly reduce the time that spent in remotemaintenance, the security and reliability of information in the process of preservation andtransmission has also been distributed technology effective protection. By using a pair ofModem and PSTN, System realize remote management of equipment, maintenance andfault location in a network failure environment. The method is simple, easy to implement,reliability, better demand in the software functions.
