Abstract


Since the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child(CRC) was taken into effect, a clear message has been delivered to all of us that children should be the first beneficial owner of all human’s civilization and success as well as the last catastrophic bearer of all human’s suffering and failure. Children’s maximum benefit should be taken into consideration for anything concerning children. In other word, in this highly developed media society, children’s television program, which is designed for children should set their benefit as starting point, making children’s television career in the perspective of themselves.Most children’s television program is created by adult, accounting for the deep reason of adult-like phenomenon. It would definitely do harm to the fitness mentally and physically of children, and weaken the sense of authority and belief of elder relatives. What’s more, once it is permeated into the flow of public voice, it could mislead the positive function of public opinion. Besides, adult-like phenomenon does no less harm to TV programs than children themselves. The possible consequence of adult-like children’s television is the loss of both adults and kids; therefore the vitality of program would fade eventually. Focusing on the inner circumstances of children’s TV program, the essay aims at the implement of children’s awareness and the protection of children’s rights to produce eye-catching, mind-satisfying and knowledge-increasing programs for all the kids.The adulthood trend is show in many aspects, for example, the position, the theme, the narration, the screen and even the facial expression, the language and voice included. From the point of context level, the adulthood uncovers the secrets of grown-ups, which means children’s normal thinking pattern may be affected by some sexy and porn storylines. In the meantime, when too much violence are presented in the form of entertainment, most inexperienced children would regard it reasonable. Thus with the overwhelming trend of utilitarian, children are not pure anymore and alienated as commodities rather than subjects. Under the control of grown-ups, happiness, strength and education are misunderstood as cruelness, hegemony and preaching.In addition, news, talent show and feature programs are not exclusive to grown-ups, but also belong to children. Although they have got rid of adults’ field, it’s still manipulated by adults from the inside. In order to make my point to my voice, the writer compare Technology Bubbles, a sub-column of Wise Tree, with Big Bird’s World, a sub-column of Sesame Street to outline the involvement of children in the program; secondly we choose highly welcomed cartoon movies both in China and USA——Happy Goat and Tom and Jerry, trying to compare the adulthood tendency shown in them.In this way, anti-adulthood phenomenon is not only driven by programs, but also by the huge competition against foreign counties. Therefore to approach advantages and avoid disadvantage s, a lot of measures can be taken to solve the problem:improving the professional standard of television producers; perfecting the layout of television program; acknowledging the psychological needs of children.As far as I’m concerned, the adulthood phenomenon of children’s television program is a far-reaching project, for its fueling the development of television enterprise as well as its responsibility in the liberation of childhood. I sincerely hope that I could make pygmy effort to the advancement of Chinese television career and the improvement of children’s adolescence. If it’s said that a promising people would undoubtedly throw light on the future, then a promising children TV program should be responsible for the adolescence of children.
