Abstract


The importance of knowledge management is increasingly outstanding in the era of knowledge economy. The tacit knowledge has becoming the power supply for the formation of enterprise knowledge assets and competitive advantage, and it has been an essential part of knowledge management framework as well. As for knowledge-oriented organizations like libraries, strengthen the management of tacit knowledge is significant to improve their service quality and working efficiency. At present, the research on the management of tacit knowledge in library have already had certain achievements, but generally speaking, a lot of research just stay in the theoretical level, such as meaning, features, performance and management concept and content. There are very few articles to study it based on the research process, methods, and strategies deeply and systematically. It makes the library circles have not formed an effective theory guidance system in implementing knowledge management since the introduction of enterprise knowledge management concept and the expansion of library knowledge management research. For the reasons above, this article put the relevant theories of library tacit knowledge as the basis to analyze the identification, acquisition, organization, storage, conversion, sharing, innovation and application of tacit knowledge from the perspective of tacit knowledge management process. It presents an assumption about how to establish a library tacit knowledge management model of our library, discusses the guiding theories of tacit knowledge management practices of our library.
