Urban waterfront provides the crowded city a hydrophilic environment and some public green spaces, thus in lots of cities, it is the most dynamic environment and the most special public open space. The Xiangjiang River flows to the north, passing through the entire CZT Urban Agglomeration. Coordinated development of Xiangjiang River waterfront is an inseparable part from the CZT Urban Agglomeration. After collecting and summarizing the papers and literature on the development of coordination problems, the writer illustrated coordinated development of Xiangjiang River waterfront from the point of view of urban agglomerations.Firstly, guided with the theory of complex ecological, the theory of waterfront development, the theory of river health, the theory of sustainable development, on the basis of analysis of the specific circumstances of the CZT agglomeration and the Xiangjiang River, considering the influence of the water, the city’s terrain, the system of urban road, the integrity of the historical and cultural protected areas, the writer determined the of waterfront areas of the Xiangjiang River as the specific scope of her study.Secondly, according to the previous theory and practice of research in the field of waterfront, the writer proposed the overall objective of the waterfront development coordination, content and the factors influenced. Coordinated development of the urban waterfront should covers the coordination development between the waterfront areas; the coordination development of "River","Island","City"; the coordination development of the people and water in the urban waterfront; the coordination exploitation status and exploitation model in the urban waterfronts.Finally, on the basis of the six important factors of the coordination development of Xiangjiang River waterfront-land features, ecological factors, landscape spaces, historical factors, transportation elements, security elements, the writer made an overall evaluation on the coordination development of Xiangjiang River waterfront, then gave some proposals and suggestion about the coordination development of Xiangjiang River waterfront specifically, including reasonable planning and control, promoting coordination of urban waterfront group; the adjustment of economical structure, promoting inter-regional coordination waterfront; collaborative governance ecological environment, promoting eco-coordinated waterfront; integration of landscape, promoting coordination waterfront landscape; public-private cooperation, diversified investment, promoting the development of coordinated model.
