Abstract

Objective: To observe patients with Graves' disease serum malonic aldehyde ( MDA ) , myeloperoxidase (MPO), total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) changes , and to assess changes in patients with Graves oxidative - antioxidant status . Methods: From August 2009 to January 2010 Fujian Medical University Affiliated Union Hospital during treatment in 45 cases of untreated patients with Graves 'disease onset as the onset of Graves' disease group ; 45 cases of normal thyroid hormone in the drug treatment period Graves patients as normal thyroid hormone Graves' disease group ; 45 cases of healthy people as a control group . Each selected fasting blood immune chemiluminescence measured serum sensitive thyrotropin , serum free triiodo Thyroid original acid , serum free thyroxine using chemical colorimetric synchronization measure serum T-AOC, SOD, GSH -PX, MPO and MDA levels , and analysis of the various indicators of the differences between the groups . Results: The onset of Graves' disease serum MDA content higher than that of the normal thyroid hormone Graves' disease group ( P lt ; 0.001 ) and the control group (P lt; 0.001), no difference in MDA content in thyroid hormone to normal Graves' disease and control groups . Onset patients with Graves' disease serum MPO higher than those in the control group (P lt; 0.001), normal thyroid hormone in patients with Graves' disease by its content was increased in the patients with Graves' disease ( P lt; 0.001 ) , but was still higher than that in control group ( P = 0.021). Onset Graves' disease serum T-AOC , SOD and GSH- PX were higher and thyroid hormone to normal Graves disease group , but only the initial issuance of Graves disease group and the control group , the SOD difference ( P lt ; 0.001) , and the initial issuance of T-AOC group of Graves' disease and thyroid hormone to normal Graves disease group difference was statistically significant ( P = 0.019 ) . T-AOC, SOD and GSH-PX were not statistically different between the normal thyroid hormone Graves' disease group and control group . Conclusion: the oxidative onset patients with Graves' disease - antioxidant balance disorder , increased oxidative stress ; oxidative stress and hyperthyroidism . Patients with Graves' disease serum myeloperoxidase enzyme is higher than the healthy population .
