Abstract


Tourists are the main parts of tourism activities, the elements of tourism activities arecentred with tourists.It is important to study the tourists’ behavior for the tourism destinationsto enhance the competitiveness by selling marketable tourism products. Therefore, this paperstudy on the individual characteristics and behavior of Liaoxi Corridor tourists, discusstourism development of the Liaoxi Corridor based on the behavioral characteristics of thetourists.On the basis of analyzing Liaoxi Corridor tourism resources and tourism development,the paper makes a questionnaire survey of Liaoxi Corridor tourists’ behavior and studiesimpact factors of the behavior by means of SPSS18correlation analysis.The mainconclusions are:(1) Male tourists in this region are more than females; most of the tourists areyoung and middle aged;tourists have higher educational background;the proportion of farmersis low;middle-incomes are the majority.(2)For Tourists in this region, travel informationmainly comes from their friends and relatives, the internet; travel time concentrated on MayDay and National Day; main travel motivation is for leisure; travel transportation is mainlyself-driving; accommodation selections are mainly economy hotels; residence time isrelatively shorter;the tourism expense is reatively lower;tourists’ overall satisfactionevaluation of Liaoxi Corridor is average.(3)In this distinct,the tourists’ traveldecision-making behavior, travel preferences, travel consumer behavior is significantlyinfluenced by individual characteristics. According to the fact of Liaoxi Corridor tourismresources,combining with the tourists’ individual characteristics and behavioral characteristics,this paper makes some suggestions to promote Liaoxi Corridor tourism development.Forexample, enrich tourism products, improve the reception capacity of tourismenterprises,improve scenic spots’ recognition and so on.
