Abstract


Along with the sustainable development of science and technology and the changes of operational environment in postal field in China, postal information system has undergone a fundamental change; postal work depends increasing heavily on network and information system. As the country’s key sector correlates to the country’s economy and people’s livelihood, postal system and its operation safety has been related to the society stability and people’s life. However, the safety system of postal information does not match its current functions and position considering the safety conditions of postal information system. This paper will start with investigating the current security conditions of postal information system in Henan, then analyze the potential security risks, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in the last.In this paper, the following aspects will be analyzed. First, the relative background of postal security issues will be analyzed and the necessity of this research will be pointed out through the theoretical overview of postal information system. Then, according to the study on the present development situation of postal information system development at home and abroad, current development situation of security theories on postal information system was concluded and illustrated by the case study on Henan Postal information system. Finally, the potential security hazard in postal information system was investigated from software, hardware and technical personnel aspects considering the status of postal information systems in Henan, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were proposed to promote the security development of Henan postal informationization. Meanwhile, it is hoped that this paper could provide reference for other postal bureaucracies on the development of informationization security.
