Abstract


Liberalization of interest rates can help to improve the effectiveness offinancial markets. The fund industry plays a vital role in the economic andsocial development. Study on the impact of China`s interest ratesliberalization on fund industry can provide ideas and strategies fordevelopment of fund management companies, and also offerrecommendations for effective supervision. This thesis consists of fivechapters. Chapter1is an introduction of the background and research method.Chapter2reviews the progress of China’s interest rates liberalization,analyzes current situation and issues of China’s fund industry and introducesthe experiences in developed markets. Chapter3analyzes the impact ofinterest rates liberalization on China’s financial industry and fund industry.Chapter4analyzes China’s fund industry’s strengths, weaknesses,opportunities, threats and countermeasures. Chapter5is a brief summary ofthis thesis.
