Abstract


Mormonism is today the United States and worldwide , a highly influential new religions . The Mormon historian officially began in the church soon after the establishment . Since its birth the historian two distinct genres : Historical Schools of Mormons and non - Mormons Historical Schools in . In early Mormon historian , two sent in their respective positions and the purpose for the analysis of the same event are often great differences . Subsequently in the early 20th century , Mormon historians began gradually justice in the objective , the historian of the Mormons and non- Mormons scientist differences still exist some problems , but they began to face each other . Into the 1950s , with the rise of the new historiography , the Mormon History Research also set off a new mode - new Mormon history . Driven new Mormon history , there are a large number of high-quality academic discourse about the Mormon History of the United States , of involving the history of Mormon in all aspects , including the General History of sexual Mormon history , Mormon installments and a variety of thematic research about Mormon history . Since the past 90 years of the 20th century , along with the deepening of our American history research , some scholars also began the history of the U.S. Mormon preliminary exploration . Although the current Sino-US academia achieved fruitful results for the study of Mormon history , but there are still some shortcomings : ignore the Mormon church organizations , the Utah Mormons and whites within his territory \; comparative study of Mormon history after World War II , the United States , as well as other emerging religion of Mormonism and the United States is not deep enough . The text of this paper is divided into four parts : the first part : the Mormons, the Mormon history of the concept , the new Mormon History , Mormon related research institutions , research publications, publishing houses and an overview . Part II: analysis of the research status of the United States in recent years about the Mormon history of the United States . General History of the United States Mormon writings , the the American Mormon installments history research, thematic research presented separately . Part III : Analysis of China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan , the United States Mormon history research status . Part IV: pointed out that the current American scholars of Mormon history research areas in several ignored .
