Abstract


This study focuses on the meaning of life , and an increased emphasis on psychological variables . It is important predictor of life satisfaction , can promote a sense of well-being and the protection of the individual to avoid the negative consequences . This study combines cultural background in China and abroad, the meaning of life , research data , literature analysis and survey of the meaning of life questionnaire revised . Study 1 Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis of the five adults meaning of life dimensions . Research using t test and analysis of variance to compare and analyze the differences in the demographic variables of each dimension of the meaning of life of adults . Study the relationship between the adults, the meaning of life and coping styles related analysis and path analysis of each dimension of the meaning of life coping style predict . The main conclusions are as follows: First , the Chinese version of the meaning of life questionnaire including the structure of the five dimensions of the enthusiasm , achievements , beliefs , purpose and value ; , different ages , different genders , different occupations , different positions , different marital status , different family location as well as self-reported health status of adults , significant differences exist in the different dimensions of the meaning of life . Each dimension of the meaning of life and positive coping was significantly related to achievement dimension with negative coping significantly related . Achievements and beliefs dimension able to predict a positive response, achievements , beliefs and purpose dimensions can predict negative coping . Finally, the shortcomings of this study and further research directions are described .
