Abstract

Inverter is the core of a power system like uninterruptible power supply equipment andphotovoltaic power equipment. The output waveform quality is one of the main performanceparameters. As the reference is periodic, the disturbances are usually periodic, and controlstrategies are used as the main method for eliminating the output distortion. The repetitivecontroller makes the inverter system track periodic signal perfectly. This paper studies mainly onthe design of repetitive controller for inverter. A new repetitive controller based on the idealerror dynamics is designed for eliminating the influence caused by periodic disturbances ininverter. Both the absolute attractive layer bound and the steady-state error band are derived tocharacterize the control performance. The main work lies in the following aspects:1. The inverter models are established. The models are the transfer function model, statespace model and differential equation model.2. This paper analysis the theory of repetitive control in the frequency domain. The basicstructure of the repetitive controller includes three parts, internal model, compensator and timedelay unit. The stability of repetitive control system is analyzed.3. The controller is designed based ideal error dynamics for inverters. For characterizingthe control performance, the absolute attractive layer bound and the steady-state error band arederived.4. The new repetitive controller is designed based on repetitive control theory and idealerror dynamics. The new controller improves the control performance. Both the absoluteattractive layer bound and the steady-state error band are analyzed in detail.5. The inverter platform is built. The DSP controller is TMS320F2812, and the software isprogramed for the inverter. The inverter takes a good performance with the proposed controlalgorithms.
