Abstract

Attitude determination on dynamic carrier is currently a hotspot in applying Global Positioning System (GPS). And with the rapid development of DSP technology, it would become the inevitable trend of future development that acquire the real-time attitude parameters whit GPS. Aiming at the two-antennae GPS attitude determination receiver, this paper discusses some principles and introduces a method that has lower cost and higher flexibility, combined with least-squares ambiguity search technique and Cholesky decomposition theory.Firstly, this paper introduces the GPS, the position theory and the related position technology systemically. Secondly the article introduces the principle of determination carrier attitude using carrier phase. This thesis focuses on the fundamental basis for carrier phase measurement -- integer ambiguity resolution in detail, and by least-squares ambiguity search technology, according to Cholesky decomposition theory which can be the optimization algorithm, which can compute the most of ambiguity in a very short time. It is very useful to compute the real-time attitude parameters. Then, it is put forward the implementation scheme of system software/hardware by using the DSP chip and the C language program is compiled to pick up the satellite carrier phase data, ephemeris data and other data, which resolutes the ambiguity for data post processing. Finally, the attitude solution program is given to calculate the determination data. The experimental results demonstrate that the system meets the common required specifications and reaches a high precision resolution.
