The distributed video encoded using intra-frame coding and inter-frame decoding, i.e. only on the decoding side using interframe correlation information, the movement of large computation estimation and motion compensation operation is cleverly transferred to the decoding side, and in theory can be achieved with traditional The video coding compression efficiency almost equivalent, and distributed video coding based on the channel coding is based, in essence, has the ability of anti transmission error, so the the the DVC framework implements video data compression storage and Robust Transmission. Distributed Video Coding a new topic in the field of video compression, involving a large number of technical areas, side information generation rate control aspects of the theoretical research and innovation is the key of distributed video coding system towards practical application, especially the side information generation algorithm improvement of side information on the current decoded frame prediction more accurate, the decoder correctly decodes the parity bits required is less, the rate-distortion performance of the system, the better. This paper briefly describes the theoretical basis of distributed video coding and related technologies, and then elaborated a complete distributed video coding system works, side information generation algorithm followed by a large number of studies and classical side information generation algorithm on the basis of the five kinds of improved algorithms: (1) motion estimation to the introduction of the distortion of the adjacent blocks in the search process to be optimized to match criteria; (2) using a weighted vector median filter to filter out less accurate motion vector; ( 3) based on the reference frame of the motion compensation scheme; direction (4) using the motion vector information to analyze the condition of motion of the object; not rule moving objects in the border (5) based on the variable block hierarchical motion estimation to obtain at the motion vector. Finally, in the Matlab environment simulation experiments and found that the slight improvement of the algorithm and program objective and subjective performance than the classical side information generation algorithm.
