Abstract

Pragmatic school related theoretical point of doing a qualitative study of semantic paradox, to seek to solve the Liar Paradox program. Liar Paradox is the semantic paradox most elementary, the most typical paradox, this article its analysis only example. This article consists of three main parts: the first part of the first introduction of the Liar Paradox. The Liar Paradox produce a prophet of the Cretans - Iraq wall Mendelssohn. He once said: \that Iraq wall Mendelssohn himself is a liar. If the Iraqi wall Mendelssohn said not true, then, that not all Cretans are liars, then the Iraq wall Mendelssohn not liar. This example shows that: this arrangement complete sentences even if the syntax is correct, but the logic is absurd. Liar Paradox is a debate, and this debate to the formation of a self-involved contradictions in the process of reasoning lying words. Contradictions of the discourse of this lie is that form and content are intertwined, that is self-referential is hidden in the discourse. Many philosophers have spent a lot of effort to solve it, but did not find a proper solution. This paper attempts to solve the liar paradox from another angle. In order to clarify the nature of the Liar Paradox, the second part of the article is trying to investigate the source of the liar paradox from the point of view of logic, meaning, and some related theory. To sum up: a Definition of trying semantic paradox. This article last part discusses the Liar Paradox to express inferential communication, the hearer is forced to understand the implied meaning in the words of this communication. This requires that the hearer must have the logical reasoning ability of a speaker. However, express an inferential communication needs shared cognitive environment between the two sides have a huge impact, and this mutual cognitive environment be obedient inference. In this sense, if we consider a specific context into the interpretation of the Liar Paradox, the use of everyday language speaker and hearer exchanges will be able to obtain the best results. On the contrary, can not. Short, just explore a liar paradox from the perspective of relevance theory interpretation method.
