With the widespread application of advanced control technology in the industrial production course, the size and complexity of production systems is increasing quickly. In the fundamental research aspect, the technology of process monitoring and fault diagnosis, as a important brand of automation, has received a lot of development. Through a variety of industrial field data collection, processing and analysis, the on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis of the industrial field environment and the operational status of equipment and so on can be realized exactly. Consequently, it has increased production efficiency and product quality, enhanced production safety and security, saved energy consumption, enhanced economic efficiency. It has great significance.Injection Molding Machine (IMM) is one of the most important equipment in plastic industry. It has developed rapidly in the control and on-line monitoring technology rather than in the structure and transmission, since it appeared in the 3rd decade of last century. So to realize the on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis of IMM is significant for improvement of plastic product and progress of plastic industry.In this thesis, the process monitoring and fault diagnosis of injection molding has been implemented with C# and based on the production process of HTF58X2 injection molding. And a sub-system is realized based on sub-staged PCA theory. The injection molding process monitoring data is stored by the system management platform in the database through the Siemens S7-400 hardware devices, and then the off-line procedures will be called to deal with the normal state of complete off-line data in the base. The necessary statistics and control limits obtained in the process will be saved in another database. In the process of online monitoring, system platform on one hand, reads real-time sampling data, on the other hand, calls on-line monitoring procedure for processing real-time data to compare the statistics generated with the corresponding control limits in the database and maps the real-time curves. The fault diagnosis platform calls fault diagnosis procedure for processing real-time data to compare the statistics generated with the corresponding off-line control limits in the database. Due to the comparing, the variables making the system disorder will be decided.The system is an open platform, in addition to the PCA method in this thesis mentioned, other on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis, or the quality of forecasting methods can also be added. So this platform can be achieved in a variety of methods in the process of injection molding research.
