Abstract


Life Portrayal is a news show of CCTV-NEWS Channel first aired at 10:05pm.Be different from traditional In-depth Reports, it has gained high audience rating with its fresh stories, true feelings and unique charm of the anchor.Life Portrayal’s subject-matter covers all aspects of everyday life. The show portrays life through the eyes of the average people and expresses their feelings. All those subject-matter conforms to not only news theories but also aesthetic requirements. For the expression format, Life Portrayal has absorbed the artistic form of documentary films, and some elements from many kinds of artistic forms as well.The show explains profound theories in simple language.On the basis of the emergence and the development of Life Portrayal, the essay centers on new ideas of In-depth TV Report of the show and analyzes benefits of TV news of our country so as to promote journalistic practice from those new ideas.
