Visibility is an important parameter of meteorological observations , as technology advances , instead of visual instrumental visibility possible. The purpose of this project is to study and design based on infrared scattering structure symmetrical , dual optical measuring visibility sensor , which consists of two transmitters, two receivers and processor. This paper established a working model of the sensor , analyze, compare , research instrument of the general characteristics of scattered before proposed overall design ideas, outlined the main points of hardware circuit design , testing, research different surface effect on the signal , build a prototype and the main properties of the prototype was tested . Experimental results show that : the method has advantages of the forward scattering method , can significantly reduce the environmental dust , LED power down due to aging , temperature changes and other factors influence the instrument , can improve the stability of the measurement instrument . Meanwhile, summed up the experience of the prototype design process and lessons learned for stereotyping and related applications to help.
