Abstract

The development of car navigation system in the ascendant , has been widely applied in the field of logistics, intelligent traffic , integrated navigation system GPS / MM ( Global Positioning System / map-matching ) is a higher cost of vehicle navigation solutions . Under certain conditions, the accuracy of GPS positioning information and electronic maps , map-matching algorithm pros and cons of the key factors that decide the navigation and positioning accuracy , to carry out research in this area is essential . This paper describes the basic principles of GPS , map matching algorithm study provides a theoretical basis for the use of the GPS positioning information and electronic map information . Already point to a line map matching algorithms and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation map-matching algorithm based on fuzzy logic theory , for a variety of different road conditions to establish the initial matching mode , tracking and matching patterns and intersection match mode the other three map matching mode , improved map-matching algorithm based on fuzzy logic . Improved algorithm to determine the candidate sections set based on the current map matching mode , fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method in the candidate sections focus to find the optimal matching sections , using orthogonal projection method to determine the correct position of the vehicle on the optimal matching sections . Use Visual C 6.0 and MapX development of the map matching visualization software , map-matching algorithm based on fuzzy logic design and experimental results demonstrate the improved map-matching algorithm is able to do some complex road topology , more reasonable , more accurate matching to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm .
