Abstract


In the wake of China’s further reform of personnel system, the increasingly fierce global competition for talents, and the acceleration of talent flow rate, it is an irresistible trend of the 21st century personnel management development of colleges and universities to establish a reasonable and scientific personnel management information system to achieve the orderly management and efficient use of their human resources, which is also an important action to improve the management level and enhance the competitiveness of colleges and universities.Based on Panzhihua University Personnel Administration Departments’need to strengthen personnel management informationization, combined with the current development situation of university management information system and the contents and features of university personnel management, the paper designs and develops personnel management information system of Panzhihua University by means of MVC design pattern, B / S architecture and Struts2 technical framework from the perspective of modern software engineering.According to the life cycle of information system development, the paper firstly sorts the contents and processes of the university’s personnel work, analyses the system needs, describes system functional modules and applies UML modeling language to build the system model. Then it manages system development in strict accordance with the project schedule, gives out the system design and implementation, tests and deploys the system. Finally, the paper makes a summary of the development of this system. Four problems have been put more emphasis on in the system implementation process, which are Including the system of stable, reliable and safe operation, the standardization of personnel data to the issue redundancy, data processing, sorting and graphical display, as well as system scalability.The user-friendly interface, powerful reporting tools, and sharing of statistical tools and information of the system enables the personnel administrator to get rid of the burdensome routine work; the accurate and comprehensive data storage and data analysis of the system provides a reference for school leaders to make scientific decisions; the convenient and speedy information collection and search function of the system facilitates faculty members to manage and view personal information. Compared with similar systems,the system has its own characteristics in function design, such as metadata management, faculty members’ number management, file management, page form data output,working years in PanZhiHua to be automatic accounting etc.The system achieves the standardized information management of Panzhihua University’s personnel work and currently runs well on the campus network.
