Abstract


Acetic acid is an important organic chemical raw material , widely used in basic organic synthesis, medicine , dyes, fragrances, pesticides and other industries. In these industries often have low concentrations of acetic acid wastewater . Acetic acid treatment for all relevant sectors of production processes, economic performance , environmental protection and resource utilization is important. This catalytic distillation method using intermittent treatment effluent concentrations of less than 15wt% acetic acid , catalytic distillation process, the catalyst loading is particularly important. This paper presents a novel way catalyst loading , which is bundled package filling the catalyst to improve the way , about the catalyst into the catalyst member (catalyst member comprises a hollow cylinder and the annular rings classes θ ), and then with the catalyst catalyst member huddle in a catalytic distillation column rectifying section . The method makes use of filling liquid contact tower in good condition , the catalyst utilization. This paper studies to D072 strongly acidic cation exchange resin as catalyst in methanol and acetic acid esterification reaction kinetics has been intrinsic kinetic model . Then create a batch catalytic distillation process mathematical model to simulate the process , the simulation examines theoretical plates , reflux ratio , liquid holdup on the conversion rate of acetic acid , and the operating conditions were optimized . Then using the new way catalyst loading loading distillation , catalytic distillation process for intermittent concentrations of less than 15wt% acetic acid wastewater experiments , the experimental data obtained more satisfactory . Acetic acid conversion rate as high as 90 %, indicating that the use of new catalytic methods catalyst loading and separation efficiency is high, it is a feasible way catalytic distillation catalyst loading . Finally, we compare the catalytic distillation under the same conditions intermittent simulation and experimental results verify the reliability of the mathematical model of the batch , the experimental results and the simulation results agree well .
