Abstract

Ionic liquid anion (BF 4 - ), cation (imidazolium ionic liquid cations), and the ionic liquid halogen impurities (F - Cl - , Br - ), ion chromatography analysis, its aim is to develop accurate, fast, simple ion chromatographic separation and determination of ionic liquids overcast cation of the new method. First, ion chromatography - the direct conductivity detector separation and determination of BF 4 - method. The experiment used the Shim-pack IC-A3 anion exchange chromatography column, investigated leaching lotion type, concentration, column temperature, flow rate and other factors on the separation, to determine the best separation conditions. Optimum chromatographic conditions baseline separation BF 4 - common impurities inorganic anions (F - , Cl - , Br - , NO 3 - , SO 4 2 - ), and chromatographic peak shape. The method detection limit (S / N = 3) of 0.58 mg / L, the peak area relative standard deviation (RSD, n = 5) was 0.8%. Method was applied to the determination of ionic liquids, the BF the 4 - , the recoveries were 100.6% and 99.2%. Second, the monolithic silica column and direct conductivity detection Ion Chromatography and rapid separation determination BF 4 - method. Experiment Chromolith Speed ??ROD RP-18e column, tetrabutylammonium hydroxide phthalate as eluant investigated eluent concentration, leaching the washings were pH, column temperature and flow rate and other factors on the BF 4 - retention time, to determine the optimum separation conditions. Under optimal conditions, the retention time - 1 min, other common inorganic anions do not interfere with the determination of BF . The method detection limit (S / N = 2) to 1.40 mg / L, and the peak area RSD (n = 5) was 1.8%. The method was applied to the determination of the ionic liquids, the BF the 4 - , recoveries in 98.2% 101.5%. Third, the study of ion chromatography - the direct conductivity detector separation and determination of five kinds of imidazolium ionic liquid cation (EMIM , , the PMIM , the BMIM AMIM < sup> , HMIM ) method. Experiments using Shim-pack IC-C1 cation exchange column, eluent type, concentration, pH, and column temperature factors for the separation and determination of imidazole cation, to determine the best chromatographic conditions. Optimum chromatographic conditions baseline separation of imidazolium ionic liquid cations. The detection limits (S / N = 2) for 1.1 45.6 mg / L, the peak area RSD (n = 5) in less than 2.8%. Method was applied to the analysis of laboratory synthesis of 1 - alkyl-3 - methylimidazolium ionic liquid cation, the recoveries the 92.5% 101.9%. Fourth, the study of ion chromatography - direct conductivity detector separation and determination of halide ions (F - Cl - Br - ) method. The experiment used the Shim-pack IC-A3 anion exchange chromatography column, investigated leaching lotion type, concentration, column temperature, flow rate and other factors on the separation, to determine the optimal chromatographic conditions. Halogen ion optimal chromatographic conditions baseline separation in a short period of time, and good peak shape. F - , Cl - , Br - The detection limits (S / N = 3) were 0.02,0.03,0.11 mg / L , peak area RSD (n = 5) were 0.4%, 0.5%, 0.7%. Method applied to the determination of the halogen impurities in ionic liquids, the recoveries were 98.3% 102.2% between.
