Explicit indica erect panicle mutant genetic characteristics of 259-2 , and the final realization of the erect panicle mutant gene cloning . In this paper, the erect panicle mutant genetic characteristics and molecular mapping of the gene using SSR molecular marker technology . The main findings are as follows : 1 . Research shows that Indica erect panicle mutant the body 259-2 growth period similar to the original 9311 , but its panicle type was significantly different from 9311 , from heading to maturity , basic does not bend ears . In addition , the mutant plant height was significantly higher than 9311 lower panicle length , leaf length , panicle length , long inverted trefoil , down a room , down two long and down three long significantly shorter , and the rest no significant changes in internode length , grain number reduction , a slight increase in the number of primary branches , and a significant reduction in the number of secondary branch grains wider , shorter, grain weight and seed rate will remain the same . Genetic analysis showed ,259 -2 erect panicle traits are controlled by a single recessive gene , and the gene has pleiotropic effects , temporary the gene named ep ( t ) . 3 . SSR molecular marker technology combined BSA ( Group separation analysis ) analysis method , ep (t) gene is located on chromosome 7 . Wherein RM351 , RM505 located in the same side of the gene , which gene ep (t) genetic distance respectively 19CM and 3.5CM ; marker RM429 located in the other side of the ep (t) gene , it ep (t) genetic distances as 7.5cM. According to the preliminary results on chromosome 7 , two SSR markers continue to find and develop new SSR markers between RM505 and RM429 final ep (t) gene is located two SSR markers 259-11 and 259 - 9 between the genetic distance between them and ep (t) gene were 0.43 and 0.22cM , at the same time get a target gene were separated and labeled 259-8 .
