Abstract


Pushkin, born in a hereditary aristocratic family, has strong sense of nobility. He believes that love for the motherland and people are the inherent mission of the aristocracies, safeguarding the honor and pursuing freedom are the responsibilities of the aristocracy, and loyalty and austerity are the crucial characters that the aristocracy should have. This is the connotations of Pushkin’s aristocratic concept.Pushkin divided the manor noble into three types: ideal-civilized type, imperious-despotic type and secular-mediocre type. The largest and most successful type of nobility shaped by Pushkin was the ideal-civilized type, through which Pushkin showed great expectations for the noble; Imperious-despotic manor aristocracy was on the decline. At the same time, Pushkin also described a series of servants or housekeepers who exploited or oppressed the peasants, although they didn’t belong to the noble rank, they also showed the imperious and despotic characteristics, who can be used as the expansion and addition to the imperious- despotic manor aristocracy. Secular-mediocre manor aristocracy, weak in mind and characteristics lived a dull life, representing the decline of the nobility.The image of the manor aristocratic that Pushkin created opens the curtain of the manor novel in Russian Literature history, providing a model of classical literature for the later generations. Pushkin made a profound impact on the future writers from three aspects: the theme of manor noble, the character of drama and the approaches of creation.The study of manor noble images that Pushkin described can deepen our understanding of Pushkin’s writing and conduce to make further knowledge of the whole Russian Literature.
