Abstract


Since Ministry of Education issued, on further deepening the reform of undergraduate teaching, and give some suggestions about comprehensively improving the quality of teaching in 2007, the reform of College English Test band 4 and band 6 develop forward steadily, the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive assessment of college English teaching system has achieved some results. In December 2008, the Ministry of Education’s 50 universities nationwide thousands of students for the first time to experience the CET machine test pilot test. Then June 20, 2009, more colleges and universities to join CET machine test line cases. Education network represents a direction of education reform has become a feature of modern education, and educational development to form a new impetus, College English Test from paper and pencil tests to computer-network-based test, both the University of CET exam content and form of reform, but also a comprehensive assessment of college English teaching reform system and a reflection of teaching philosophy. Promoting the development and construction of college English online examination system, the machine tests will be applied to all types of college English teaching testing and regular examination. Through professional teachers to update the accumulation of college English test, it will improve the quality of the exam, and promote the standardization of college English test. This will have a very high value of research and practical. At the same time, also adapt the new development tendency of college English test band 4 and band 6. Based on the investigation and analysis of the current College English Test background and college English teaching situation of Institute of InformationTechNOlogy of Guilin University of Electronic and TechNOlogy, and study the development of college English online examination system at home and abroad, this system proposes the design method which combined the structural program method with the object-oriented design method, use B/S structure development mode, the development of language based on the.NET techNOlogy framework C#, and most of the page with Ajax techNOlogy, in order to reduce the dependence of hardware resources, fully optimized the performance of software. The system background database using SQL Server2005, release server using IIS6.0 and above.This paper makes a detailed analysis and design of demand analysis and overall design of college English online examination system, including the design goal, design principles, function design, the core of the algorithm design, architecture design, database design and safety design. And gives a detailed illustration of college English online examination system, the main function realization including personal information management and information management, the test paper database of roll management, on-line examination of management, marking batch book management, system management. Also do a simple illustration of the system’s performance testing and part of function testing and finally to point out some problems of this system and make out a summary of further improvement.
