Abstract


IPv6 is the core technology of the Next Generation Network(NGN) and the Next Generation Internet(NGI). The goal of the "Security Architecture for the Internet Protocol"(IPsec) is to provide various security services for traffic at the IP layer, in both the IPv4 and IPv6 environments. IPsec Security Gateway is the one of the most popular and the most important facility classes, and was widely used for the corporation’s Virtual Private Network.So the IPsec Security Gateway technology based on IPv6 will act an important role in the futrue. And with the devolopment of the media sevice, desktop systems speed reach Gbit, network devices need a higher and higher speed, Highspeed IPv6 Security Gateway will be needed to guard the modern corporation’s communication security.In this thesis, we first combed the ten years development grain for IP networks, and researched the product and applicaion situation of IPsec Security Gateway, established the reaserch scope and content. Then made a collection, analysis and discuss for all the relative technology, researched common network device platform, selected platforms suitable for Highspeed IPsec Security Gateway implement. In the end, designed the implement of Highspeed IPv6 Security Gateway.The bright contributions of this paper are list as follows. Aimed at first line in-country need, echoed to the title“IPv6 Highspeed IPsec Security Gateway Research”, systematically analyzed the relevant technology, stardard, and products situation. Through to combination of the IPsec, IPv6 and Highspeed Platform these three aspects, this paper illustrates the technical route and a feasible development trend for the Highspeed IPv6 Security Gateway, provided the theory suport and technical guidelines for the gateway reallizaton.
