Abstract

"The China Youth Net Addiction Data Report(2005)" which released Recently shows that Chinese Internet addiction youth is about 13.2% of the total Internet users, while there are about 13% of young people is inclining to Internet Addiction. Youth Internet addiction has become a major problem.Young people indulge in the network is involve a variety of factors, parent-child relationship is one of the factor which Worthy of the attention. Because Individual’s personality development of young people is affect by the parent-child relationship directly. China’s current research on the parent-child relationship of the network of young people is poor, so depth study about the subject has important theoretical value and practical significance.Non-structured interviews and Participant observation is used as main methods in this study, Purposeful sampling method is also be used. The firsthand materials are obtained by 16 addicted or inclining addicted young people who are interviewed and observed by the investigator. The Parent-child relationship of Internet Addiction Youth is classified into four types which are violence - the revenge type, autocratic - hatred type, spoil - faced type, neglect - cold type. There are many problems of Parent-child relationship are found by the investigator .Such as faint feeling between parent and child, less communication between parent and child, parents and children do not respect each other, parents and children do not trust each other, parents’educational expectations of the children is too high, some parents believed in the "spoil the child under the whip," both Parents and children are have personality defects .Dynamic analysis on the Parent-child relationship of Internet Addiction Youth is explored from two angles such as the formation of identity and the deconstruction of identity after the static study. The inherent logic associated of Parent-child relationship and Internet Addiction is rationale from three development processes such as early parent-child relationship and Initial contact network, parents—children locked in a stalemate and fall into the network abyss, contradiction is exploded and the formation of Identity.The Conclusion about the process of parent-child relationship which is deteriorating driven the process of the youth fall into Internet addiction is summarized by the investigator. The new features of the process which the youth free themselves from Internet Addiction is analyzed by the investigator. The conclusion about parents should learn how to build the children to be a good—child, give them love and trust, work together to deal with the issue with children, are summarized by the investigator.The root causes of conflict in parent-child, the reason of why parent-child relationship impacts young people indulging in the network, the youth fall into the network abyss is in a variety of reasons, the new characteristics of the parent-child relationship in Internet era are all explored by investigator lastly. Maybe researchers will find more research goals later which inspired by the Research.
