Abstract

With the further deepening of economic globalization and the advance of the new technological revolution,international competition becomes more and more fierce,and research is becoming one of the key topics for the national and regional development. Guangdong Province is the poineer open economic area with mature market development and rapid social transformation. To achieve sustainable development of Guangdong,we must rely on science,technology and talented person. The cooperation of industry,education and academy in Guangdong Province was started from the "Saturday engineers" in 1980’s to the present "provincial-level research cooperation". A series of remarkable results have been obtained. However,there are still many problems in the development process of the Guangdong Provincial Cooperative,for example the low efficiency of the research cooperation between universities and enterprises,the inefficient governmental supervision,the low cooperative credibility between some enterprises with universities and research institutes; the lack of efficient communications and technology supply and demand information; the small-scale of technology intermediaries have restricted the further development of the research cooperation in Guangdong Province. Thus the resolution of the current problems based on the actual progress in the development of research cooperation in Guangdong,will definitely accelerate the modernization of the economy as well as improve the country’s economic and technological competitiveness,which is of great research value and practical significance.In this report,the models of international research cooperation and the current situation of research cooperation in Guangdong Province had been analyzed,and the fundamental nature of domestic and internation research cooperation was further revealed to see out the common interests and development of universities,research institutes and enterprises. There are many similarities in their cooperation processes,which offers helpful guidance references for Guangdong Province,and helps us to make an accurate understanding of enterprise and university research activities,take a correct and positive role of the government’s public functions,and improvement of the science and technology intermediary service system. Through the survey,further understanding of the main problems of research cooperation in Guangdong Province had been obtained , and the optimiaed strategies were concluded as follows: firstly,to establish a sound research information platform. secondly,Innovative cooperation model and to improve the level and the level of cooperation,thirdly,to accelerate the development of science and technology intermediaries,fourthly,to enrich and improve the management system of science and technology correspondent and institutional mechanisms , fifthly , to strengthen government supervision,
