Abstract


Further popularize and perfect with the network infrastructure, the high-speed fiber link widely used network bandwidth has been greatly expanded, most colleges and universities have established the campus network of the broadband. Universities increasingly strong demands of distance education and networking courses through the campus network. Due to the network transmission technology matures, the video player has no technical obstacles, and video services for distance education and networking courses emerged through the campus network. This paper focuses on the key technologies for video playback system, including the video signal compression coding technology, streaming media technology, video playback, video on demand, video multicast technology and clustering technology elaborate. A video playback system constitutes, according to the application needs of the campus network and the use of system features, make the actual engineering solutions applied to the existing network. We achieve video playback system, streaming stored video and real-time video streaming playback function. Streaming stored video is compressed and stored video files on the server, the user's machine to view these images via network download, online, video-on-demand is that we want to achieve? VOD (video? On? Demand) function. Between the user machine and the server using the unicast data transmission. Real-time video streaming users connected to the network to watch video programs. On the server using multicast, point-to-multipoint transmission of video programming. Multimedia classrooms to the campus network, the client of the conference room offers video playback. For these applications, we have developed a program for the operation of the system, system management for video encoding, storage, release work needs. In practical applications, because the system needs to provide video playback service because click to see the increase in the number of the video. The server was unable to provide video-on-demand service to connect. I hope by increasing the server, composed of video-on-demand server cluster, this paper studies how server load balancing methods to improve the performance of the overall streaming video-on-demand server. The proposed program has been successfully implemented within the campus network. The research carried out in this article can provide effective, better operational implementation instance campus network video playback applications. Campus network to provide better service.
