Abstract


The rapid development of the Internet has had a significant impact on the production and life of the human , to become the most efficient means of access to information . The IPv4 protocol since the birth of the Internet since almost no changes , with the increasing number of new mobile communication and streaming media transmission , real-time interactive communication requirements , poor quality of service due to the lack of its own address space , IPv4 , configuration complexity , mobility support and security and many other issues , is bound to the IPv6 transition . Internet is impossible in the short term from the existing IPv4 network upgrade to IPv6, IPv4 network for a long period of time will be IPv6 networks to coexist , it must ensure that the communication between IPv4 and IPv6 networks . IPV4 to IPv6 transition technology mainly the following categories : Dual stack , tunneling , protocol conversion technology and IVI technology . Current campus network the IPv6 upgrade project being carried out , CPN has deployed dual-stack technology to achieve the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 . In this paper, a combination of theory and practice , IPv6 campus network upgrade key technologies for research , analysis of a major transition technology between the pros and cons of NAT-PT and IVI compared . IVI is a specific prefix and stateless address mapping scheme , which supports the transparency of the address part of the IPv6 address and the IPv4 address one mapping , to help smooth the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 . IPv4-only and IPv6 network communications , IVI mechanism combined with a different application layer gateway different application layer services , in order to achieve the exchange of visits between the business , the paper mainly analyzes the implementation of the DNS-ALG and FTP-ALG . In this paper, Linux as a platform to build the IVI experimental environment , interoperability between IPv4 and IPv6 network testing , and results showed that the the IVI mechanism well to achieve interoperability between IPv4 and IPv6 networks .
