Abstract


As the backbone network and local area network is getting more sophisticated , the access network has become the bottleneck in the development of the entire network . EPON ( Ethernet Passive Optical Network based Ethernet Passive Optical Network) is an optical fiber access technology , which uses a point-to-multipoint structure , passive optical network transmission , offers a variety of services on top of Ethernet . Become a major choice of access network the EPON with its high-bandwidth , low-cost , easy to use and easy to upgrade the advantages . VLAN ( Virtual Local Area Network Virtual Local Area Network ) can limit the the EPON system of broadcast traffic , but also to enhance the the EPON system of security , but also can improve the the EPON system of network management capabilities , is one of the key technologies of EPON system . This paper combines the concrete practice , described in detail the overall architecture of the EPON system software and implementation details , the focus based on the realization of the VLAN function . The main contents are as follows : ( 1 ) from the three aspects of the system structure, working principle , as well as network management EPON system . ( 2 ) introduced the concept of VLAN , the VLAN standard - IEEE 802.1Q and IEEE 802.1ad VLAN mode defined in IEEE 802.1Q and China Telecom EPON device technical requirements analysis and comparison . ( 3 ) the use of modular design, network management as the core , the design of the the EPON system software architecture ; ( 4 ) In accordance with the requirements of China Telecom , given VLAN function EPON system design , design and realization of the VLAN CLI (Command Line Interface, command-line interface ) module , MIB ( management information Base management information database) module , the IDB ( information dataBase , information database ) modules and protocol data management module , and write the corresponding code . ( 5 ) use SmartBits network tester for testing a variety of VLAN mode analysis of the test results , verify the EPON system VLAN function to achieve the desired requirements .
